To scale
How big is it, really?
Everything below is drawn to one scale on a 3 metre wall, so the artwork and the reference object are in true proportion to each other.
About this piece
Seen from a distance it is a woman's face in profile, blue against a pale ground. Up close the face is not painted at all: it is made of hundreds of small figures, each one drawn separately, packed into the shape of a head.
